Crazy how little time is between the release of RE1 and RE2 when you think about it, considering RE1 took three years to develop and they also developed and then scrapped 1.5 between the two games without carrying any assets over.
Resident Evil is my favorite video game series. I am excited as hell for the RE2 remake.
I'm not sure what to think of the RE2 remake, probably won't have an opinion until it's sitting in front of me. What did you think of RE7?
Barely played it. Been busy with work, so haven't had much time to game. It is pretty much taking what P.T. did and making a full game.
I absolutely loved RE7, it's probably my GOTY. I went out and bought a PS4 Pro and a PSVR just for it. The VR implementation was actually pretty disappointing but the game itself is excellent. I played through it something like 7 times total getting all the trophies and got my speed run time under 2 hours.
It's not that much like PT though, it's visually similar at the start but they have almost nothing in common, you'll be disappointed if that's what you're expecting. RE1 (not remake) is my favourite and I loved how 7 brought it right back to the start and then hit so many tropes of the entire series as it went on. It really does feel like a bunch of RE fans making their ideal game, but trying to make it a whole fresh experience at the same time.
