It has been one hell of a week for me. Work has been exhausting with a couple of lazy employees finally being let go. I'm thinking of writing my stories about working at this deli for the past seven years, not sure how many people would want to read that though. There was a lot happening on Newgrounds at the same time, The Tank Tribune is going to be huge. There are some new interviews, some stuff I've found interesting on Newgrounds, and just overall work.
The Weekly Review with TGO #2
Everything Happened At Once
I. The Day Job
I've been working at a deli for seven years now, being a manager for four of those years. It was thanks to this job that I was able to move out of my parents house and into a place of my own. To finally have a proper office. To have the mental capabilities and space I needed. I was able to recover myself properly and really get into my work again. I have thought about sharing all of my favorite stories about working here. I'm not sure how many people would want to read it though. Let me know if you're interested in what I do outside of Newgrounds.
II. The Interviewer & Archive
The Interviewer has a brand new interview up. Interview with Jabun. It is my largest interview to date being three parts long, so don't jump into it unless you're ready for a long read. Thanks to the Wayback Machine I was able to obtain the old interviews done on the NG Mag called Developer Spotlight. The interviews that inspired The Interviewer. I will be posting these onto the Archive page every Monday in the chronological order they were posted. I was also able to obtain the Lost Episodes of The Interviewer from 2007. Those will be posted to The Interviewer every Tuesday with post-commentary. There aren't too many of them and they are all cringe with the exception of one.
I will also have an upcoming interview on my Patreon for those in the Supporter tier to read before it is posted on The Interviewer. That will be up on Thursday.
III. The Newgrounds Podcast
This is an appreciation post for @GoodL and @TheNewgroundsPodcast. It has become one of my go-to podcasts for when I'm writing. They're podcast ranges from laid back and chill to hilarious and out of control. Sometimes even a mixture of both like with the episode Too Many Hosts.
They recently interviewed @SevenSeize4President and I was featured on the podcast alongside The Interviewer and The Tank Tribune. The kind words given to myself and my works by her and host @Xinxinix were incredible.
If you're not listening to The Newgrounds Podcast then you should follow them now. Especially if you love Newgrounds. One of your favorite artists or members may show up on the podcast.
IV. Dohn's Desk & Somber Pensive
There is a new interview out on my Dohn page as part of Somber Pensive. It is a section where I interview just Newgrounds Members about their lives and times on Newgrounds. It is also where I have conversations with other members. Those are typically on one to two topics and keeps going until we run out of things to talk about.
The latest interview is with @Lizzardis. You can read it here.
There will be other articles and stories posted to the Dohn page. Be sure to hit the follow button so you can be up to date on those.
V. Patreon
I will be posting exclusive content to my Patreon. These include my tasks lists for the current week, interviews ahead of time, and behind-the-scenes information on upcoming interviews. I'm looking to post Patreon information every Thursday, with the first part being available for those within the Supporter tier and higher. There will be exclusive content for the Producer tier going forward including Interviews weeks ahead of time. Follow me on Patreon and Support Newgrounds. Thanks to @ninjamuffin99 for becoming my latest Supporter.
It has been a hellacious week and sadly it is slowly creeping into next week. I wasn't able to complete all the tasks on my Task List and they're going to have to be lumped into next week. I will be having a few days off from my day job so I can play catch up. How have all of you been?
GoodL
I for one would love to hear your work stories. I love stuff like that, and I'm sure a deli lends itself to some... Interesting situations!
