[Vault Platform]

This Was Very Fun

Okay I want to get the least appealing parts of this game out of the way now. The artwork and animation for this game was good, but a bit too simplistic. I think you could have gotten a bit more creative with this, but overall the presentation of the game was good. The music choices were wonderful and I like that you chose songs from the Audio Portal here on Newgrounds, extra brownie points to you on that one. The controls of this game work out splendidly, but seem a bit iffy here and there. The gameplay is just genius adding new things to each level and then combining them together for newer challenges, it is frustrating enough that you want to quit, but you know you can get through it at the same time. The hit detection at times did seem a bit unfair and with added animation to show how you died other than you got too close to the spike, some sound effects to note this would have been nice to. However this game is still very fun and I would love to see a sequel.

[Escaping the Prison]

Very Fun Game

Well the artwork is just stick figures, but you do give them some good character facial features. The animation is what really brings these characters to life though, showcasing each and every movement. The sound choices and musical choices were all very good choices, you're one artist who knows how to actually find good music from the Audio Portal. The controls are pretty much point and click, but there is some quick time elements brought in that respond well, but you have to be fast. The gameplay and story both come together in this very well, this is quite possibly one of the better written comical stories on Newgrounds and the gameplay elements are both parodies as well as original ideas. It comes close to being Metal Gear, but is so obviously Phoenix Wright that it is just hilarious! Overall this is just a very fun game and I love it.

Chrono Cuboy

Your artwork and animation are both superb. The facial expressions on each character was represented perfectly from British boss, quirky hero, nefarious villain, and even to the bartender. The sound was just absolutely wonderful from the sound effects to the music. The voice acting was hilarious and spot on, to be honest masterful. The gameplay was also quite superb, it took some getting used to, but thankfully this was a game that taught you as you went along and it even stayed real, as in the final showdown you were taught what to do in a speedy manner which to me makes the game seem more realistic. The story is quite possibly the funniest and more original stories I have seen on Newgrounds... brilliant doesn't begin to describe it, overall you have set-up quite the little game series here and starting off in the Wild West is a good place to start, hopefully the sequel will involve a Medieval setting with a dragon, but that's just my hopes. Wonderful game, can't wait for the sequel.

Not Too Shabby

This is a simplistic little game. The artwork and animation are great. The sound effects are great, but I beg for more background music. I suggest stopping by the Audio Portal and digging around there. When it comes down to the gameplay, it's quite good, using spells and other fun blocks to get rid of other blocks, however the hero is pointless. He just determines where the blocks will fall and the only way he dies is if you clear less than 3 blocks. It's fun but can get boring pretty fast. Not bad, but could use a dash of complex nature.

Thanks for the great review! The hero was actually added quite late in development as a simple anchor to the stage. That is to say that he makes the player feel less disassociated from the game realm.

Creativity Meets Disaster

The artwork and animation is simplistic and cute, it's nice to see this. The sound choices are also perfect, it brings the essence of Paris into the air. The controls for this game weren't bad, but at the same time weren't good. Controlling the bike was easy to do, but getting through this game was hell with the damn camera scroll, to the point that circling checkpoints became a big problem. The gameplay idea is wonderful, but the layout tended to get worse, but that's mainly the camera scroll's fault, but the blame isn't full on the camera scroll. I ended up getting to some narrow pathways they were hell to get the bike through and being quick. This game agonized me more than it did entertain me. I would like to see a sequel in the future, but better than this one.

Ahoy, just in case you missed it, you can fine-tune your steering by holding shift. Hopefully that helps some of your frustration with the narrow gaps.

[Free Will - The Game]

Replay Value - Forever?

Presenting in a Game Boy like fashion was a wonderful choice and it is a nifty little platformer, however it's one that punishes gamers. You die only once and that's it Game Over. When you click Try Again the game just replays what you did, I thought my computer was glitching out at first. I understand the joke, but it wasn't all that funny especially to be able to try and beat the game you have to reload the flash everytime. It's a basic platformer, but your joke is what kills it. Freewill.

Well it really wasn't all presentable, there was no animation. The background song was a nice choice. All that can be said is it's a calculator. Nothing more and nothing less.

Cliffhanger

Everything is superb in this flash, from artwork, animation, gameplay, sound, voice, and story. You've left us with yet another cliffhanger. The point and click process was starting to get old pretty quick and to tell the truth I actually got through the woods on my first try and I don't even know how I did it. The puzzle solving was fun, however to battle I had to type different keys on my keyboard to do so which I thought was a brilliant idea of the reflexes and to be able to push the keys fast enough. Overall a great game.

On The Dark Side

Your artwork, animation, sound, and voice were all superb once again. I enjoyed that you brought back the point and click aspect with a small riddle as well to figure out. The storyline is superb once again having Joseph gain a sword and a shield to fight with and the introduction of a dark version of Tabitha at the end yet again giving us that cliffhanger ending.

And Now We Plunge

This game was annoying. You decided to take a shot at a platformer and you didn't please. First off I want to talk about the controls, you say "Ctrl" to use your sword, it would've been nice if you told us to hold down Ctrl to use the sword. Now then when it comes to the game the first three levels aren't bad the only thing are the regular enemies that walk on the ground. Common logic says when you hit an enemy it shows pain and stops moving, but not the common enemies in this game they just keep on hitting you showing no pain of getting hit by a sword. Also let's talk about Level 4. It's cheap, at the beginning of the level you are automatically taking hits from a flying dragon coming from the left side of the screen and are being shot at from the right, that's real fair isn't it, just start draining away a player's life like that and they not even know it... with that said the placement of the enemies was badly done and this should have been a side-scroller instead of just pop-up into the next screen because the placement of some of your enemies made it hard to know whether or not you would get hit and sometimes you would get hit and not even know it, I died two times this way in this game. The jumping and running are good, but the sword was my only problem and that's not the game's fault it's your fault for not giving us proper instructions. It's not a bad idea for a platformer, but it was executed poorly.
